Combination die

h+m combination dies distort the paper or cardboard three-dimensionally. They generate a relief with a perfect edge definition in the substrate by transferring the foil simultaneously.

The depth of the stamping depends on the image, type of substrate and paper thickness.
A counter die is used for the embossing effect in the paper. Using a combination die is more cost effective and brings no register problems compared to hotstamping in two passes.

Different relief styles are possible : raised round, raised flat, prism, single level, multi level or sculptured, embossed or debossed.
